Ringlate

Security

Built to protect the people who use it, and honest about how.

Protection you get by default

Encrypted in transit

Every message, file and call signal travels over TLS between your device and our servers.

Account protection

Sign-in happens through a dedicated identity service; new devices are visible in your sessions list the moment they appear.

Private by default

Your phone number is never required to be visible; people can reach you by username instead.

Take control of your account

  1. 1

    Turn on two-step verification

Add a password that is required on top of your sign-in. Settings → Privacy and Security.

  2. 2

    Lock the app

Require a passcode or biometrics before the app opens. Settings → Privacy and Security → App lock.

  3. 3

    Review your sessions

Settings → Devices shows every signed-in device. End any session you do not recognise.

  4. 4

    Keep the app updated

Install updates from the App Store or Google Play so you always have the latest protections.

Tools when something goes wrong

Block

Blocked people cannot message or call you, and they cannot see when you are online.

Report

Report a chat, a message or a channel from the chat menu; we review every report.

Recover

Lost a device? Sign in from another one and end the old session from Settings → Devices.

What we do not claim

Ringlate stores your messages on its servers so they are available everywhere you sign in. They are encrypted in transit, not end-to-end encrypted. We say this plainly in the privacy policy so that you can decide what to share.
